There is nowhere else in the Mt. Shasta Area you have so many options as offered by the Cottage Apartments. We feature one or two bedroom units, furnished or unfurnished, pets or not, for stays as short as a 3-day weekend or as long as eternal interment (Just kidding, but some residents have been with us for longer than four years).

Because we put out for you—arranging beds to accommodate your family or group, keeping kitchens and bathrooms stocked or not, depending on which items of linens and cookware you bring for your stay. We provide everything but daily maid service, yet a washer and dryer are provided.
Directions: Northbound from Redding, take the first I-5 exit to Dunsmuir. The Mt. Shasta Ski and Snowboard Park is about five miles, or just two freeway exits north, at the turnoff to McCloud. Get Map .

Note: These prices include cleaning fees, taxes, etc. If you plan to stay for a month or more, you should plan to put electric power and sewer service into your name (garbage and water are paid for). See the policy page for details. A $50 deposit, refundable up to 48 hours from check-in, will be taken. For holiday rentals, call for exact prices.

Phone calls are usually answered at once, from 7 am to 10 pm. Because your needs are special, we encourage you to call. Please use e-mailing, which may have a bit longer lead time, only as a second means of contact.
What is Google Checkout? A $50 deposit is required to hold the unit. Your reservation may be canceled by you, and the deposit returned, at any time up to 48 hours prior to check in. Please bring your checkbook with you at your arrival, as we are in a mountainous area, and it is not always possible to connect with our credit card processing facilities.

Why are these rates so reasonable?
Well, I began coming to Mt. Shasta twenty years ago, when I was stressed out from my job in Silicon Valley. Gradually, trip after trip, I learned the best places to go to soak in the natural beauty and meet the most interesting people.
Just a few years ago, I bought, renovated and landscaped an apartment building in Dunsmuir, just a few minutes down the freeway from the mountain itself. I designed it with a dream—that is, to someday offer a place to stay with a menu of interesting places and people that I encountered in my trips. I’m offering prices designed to reward the weary traveler, and bargain minded Shasta fun-seeker.
